Aleppo soap is made only from olive oil, laurel berry oil, water and lye, then cured for months. No palm oil, no synthetic fragrance or colour. The laurel oil is what sets it apart and gives it its character.
Aleppo soap comes from northern Syria, but the war made production there impossible. Master soapmakers moved the craft to Turkey and kept the same recipe and laurel oil formula. The tradition is Syrian; the soap is made in Turkey today.

Yes. With no synthetic fragrance or colourant and a simple oil base, it is a common choice for dry, reactive and sensitive skin, on face and body. As with any product, we advise a patch test.
Yes. The same bar washes face, body and hair, which is how it has always been used. Shops that sell it as a hair wash usually keep natural henna powder in bulk on the same shelf.
